The Basics Of Pistol Shooting is intended to provide students with a basic knowledge of how pistols and revolvers work. How ammunition works and the various types of ammunition. Basic marksmanship skills. Safety is heavily emphasized throughout the course.

The course is broken down into 4 classroom lessons and one live fire exercise.
1) Firearm safety and safe storage.
2) Knowing your pistol.
3) Building pistol shooting skills.
4) Pistol maintenance selection and use. Also discussed are continued opportunities for skill development.

To earn your certificate of completion, you must pass a multiple choice/true or false test comprised of 50 questions with a score of 90% or higher as well as demonstrate competency during the live fire exercise.

Class Length: About 8 hours

Registration is a two step process. You must complete the registration through the AZ Alliance Training LLC site in order to pay for the course and the NRA site for administrative purposes.
